Hello Jeep lovers :)

Well i have noticed that there is a rattle noise like something going around in the handle area in my right front passenger door (Co pilot) like a vibration noise in my JGC Laredo 2014. I have checked that there is no contact between passenger seat belt and door or something in the handle area no sunglasses nothing and i keep hearing it. I want to know if any of you have heard about this or have the same problem and if there is any fix for it since its very annoying.

Thanks, i hope you understand my explanation.

Cheers from Chile!

I also am experiencing the exact same problem. If I pull on the door opening latch, without quite opening the door, it seems to reduce the rattle. I would like to know the solution to fixing it as the dealer does not seem interested in resolving any issues.

I also had this annoying rattle and decided to investigate the problem myself, having been shown little interest from the Jeep dealer. I removed the door trim, which is not hard, and found two problems causing rattles. First problem was the bolt that holds the inner door handle mechanism to the door frame had only been half threaded in, making the mechanism very loose. However, on attempting to tighten the bolt is became apparent that the factory had put 'locktite' on the bolt to prevent it from coming loose, which of course had set and bolt would not easily tighten. I removed the bolt and cleaned the thread out with a thread tap and reinstalled. Now perfect and no rattle. The second problem, which was only a very slight rattle in the top front corner of the door was the wiring plug for the mini speaker that sits in the top front corner (black triangle) of the door. The connecting plug had not be clipped onto its little mounting post and was rattling about. I simply pushed it onto its mount. There is no more annoying rattles. Total time to complete the whole job was about 15 minutes. :)
