Re: Front Windscreen Washers do not work

An update to the washers not working. It turned out that the compressed air fix only worked temporarily, the problem recurred after a dozen or so uses. Tried the compresses air again, with the same result.
I was surprised at the amount of froth coming out of the bottle when forcing the air through, but I put this down to the air just " blowing bubbles". Given the recurring nature of the problem, and the fact it was fixed for a while I figured that maybe there was simply too much soapy froth causing a type of airlock. This turned out to be the case. Much flushing later, and all is working, even after a couple of weeks.
Not sure how it happened though. It was ages since I had added windscreen cleaner, and then it was the same type as always. Perhaps it was just getting too concentrated. My favourite theory though, is that it was the cleaner the dealer put in at the service.
In any case, watch the type and quantity of the cleaner.
Thanks,
Russell

How did you flush it out? I'm having the very same problem.

Re: Front Windscreen Washers do not work

I just put a running hose in the bottle for several minutes, letting the water spill out, using all the washers a bit until the water came out of them without any detergent visible. Include the headlight washers too.
Thanks,
Russell
