Re: fuel door

I noticed mine wasn't flush, but I didn't think it was bad enough to warrant a visit to the dealer. Yesterday, the door wouldn't open at the gas station. Now it IS bad enough to warrant a trip to the dealer. We'll see how it goes...

Re: fuel door

I have the same problem, but mine has frozen shut several times on me and my wife, 2 weeks ago we took a trip in nasty weather and the stopped for fuel but the door was frozen shut, had to buy deicer washer fluid and poor it on the door and wait for it to defrost.

Re: fuel door

Mine is in getting the door replaced. Dealer said parts are on backorder and expect it in next week. Being that it's on backorder I imagine many others are having an issue.

Mine looked like it was warped at both ends. Fit better at the bottom than the top. Looked like it stuck out almost the thickness of the painted door portion.

I made sure to take mine to a top notch dealership.

Re: fuel door

I was worried that if the door is not flush then water and dirt may settle in the capless filler....so I've made a cap for mine using drainpipe and a jar lid... not very sophisticated but.....
am attempting to attached pics....hopefully this works.
