Fuel Light/Low Range When Towing
I have a 2015 Summit, 5.7 4x4. Been a great vehicle so far (knock on wood), but have noticed an occasional issue where the vehicle throws the low fuel light and low range warning if I am towing my boat. The boat's tongue weight is about 550 lbs. Doesn't do it every time, and have had this occur only when the vehicle is towing the boat. The fuel tank is never low when the light comes on, and turning the vehicle off and starting it again resets the false low fuel indicators.
Has anyone encountered this before and know what might be causing it? It's not rear squat causing a false read with the fuel sensor, because the suspension levels itself without issue. Not a big enough issue for me to dare bring it up to a dealer, but curious if anyone else has encountered this and what the cause might be.
