in the video, the "white smoke" looks like steam to me... byproduct of combustion, generally normal.

As far as oil consumption, check the part number on your dipstick.. you may have the wrong one, and 'full' may really be 'way overfilled' .. http://wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_0901015.pdf

the last time it was in september i used the dip stick to check the oil level it was at max level , Oil Life on the dashboard was between 95 and 90%

Re: GJC summit 2015 Hemi V8 Gasoline gets hot after 15 minutes idle is it normal

the number on the deep stick shows this 53034186AC 63075

I have parked the truck Saturday night 9:00 pm and waited till sunday 1:30 pm (afternoon) .i checked the oil ,it is below halfway between Add and Max .i switched on the engine and after 5 minutes, no smoke .So I see smoke in the morning and evening. The smoke smell like burnt oil to me but I am not a mechanic
I have to mention that I always park the truck on the driveway which is slight inclined.
Two days ago when I checked the water in the radiator it was a bit low while the reservoir tank was a bit above the maximum since a week ago .so I added water in the radiator .Since then the reservoir is at the max level ,but I haven't opened the radiator .My mechanic told me not to open the radiator when the water level in the reservoir is at max .

Re: GJC summit 2015 Hemi V8 Gasoline gets hot after 15 minutes idle is it normal

Hi sunrise, to me that is normal. Its just steam coming from the exhaust. The liquid you mention that is dripping from the exhaust is water that has condensed within the exhaust. If you drive at highway speeds that water would just evaporate due to the high heat within the exhaust pipes, but since you are sitting still and the car is at idle the water will just drip out of the tailpipes. What was the outside air temperature at the time this video was taken? I love the driveway tiles, very nice!

Any idea about correct dipstick ?
Also is it normal for coolant level in the reservoir to rise above max level and after few days it dropped to max level .Then again rose to above max .Above max means between max level and the reservoir cap.Right now it is at this point for a week now .i am checking the level everyday .
