Mate sorry to here that.. So far my Jeep Dealership in Newcastle CBD has been fantastic at all levels, sales, stock control and the parts guys getting my extras in before it arrives. I have to say they have had the best communication of any Dealership I have ever known.. Touch wood it stays that way.
I feel your pain in other ways, I have been dealing with GM Holden for 2 years! They are holding my rear brakes together with sticky tape, due to a production issues with guide pin tolerances and poor design pad spring clips.
After being elevated to the next level a few months ago, I was asked what was actually wrong. WTF, have you not got the last 2 years of documented history and your own organisation knows about the production problem and issued the sticky tape fix...

Anyhow keep your chin up and lets see what the Jeeps like when it arrives.. Lets hope it just works as designed....

Mate, I just needed to vent.

Thanks.

When I spoke to the DP I said I wanted to put dealer plates on and take it for a decent run, test drive. What's a decent test drive he asks. Down to Nowra and back I say. Oh no that's to far. Ok I say, how about on the freeway up to Gosford and back,.... Hmm ah.... Silence.
I get the impression they don't want me putting any miles on it..See if the marks on the cv boot bands still line up, loose or what have you.
They just let me drive south on a permit never to be seen again.

Flicked him a email tonight, not happy, I need a date make arrangements etc.

Glad you're being looked after. It's a bit of a lucky dip really.

Thanks for the positive thoughts.

Cheers

What dealership if I may ask? Sounds like Castle Hill CJD based on your dealer principal comments. I'm still waiting on a call back from 5 weeks ago.

Well, my replacement axle was supposed to be in on Saturday, then today, now allegedly the part is supposed to be in tomorrow... the waiting continues.

Unfortunately I just got the call from my service advisor that the part didn't come in again... And they claim they are only told it might come in tomorrow, like they've been doing since last Thursday.

Update: I called Jeep Customer Service, they put me on hold and called the dealer my Jeep is at. They got the part number, and the CS rep said they would put it on the "expedited list." Not two minutes later, the service manager at the dealer called me and says Jeep assured them the part would be in tomorrow... we shall see.

Re: Grease In Both Front Wheels... Normal?

My baby is home! They replaced the driver's side but, insist the passenger side is fine. At least now I know not to even bring it in until they have the part in stock. Everything seems fine. The only issue was when I got there, the inside of the wheel was still caked in grease. I guess the service manager saw me shaking my head, he came out to see what was wrong and took the jeep inside and had the grease cleaned immediately. 6 days to replace an axle, not as long as some have had to wait but, still not very good. Hopefully this is the only issue I have and can now just enjoy my ride. Also, my tires are due in tomorrow, perfect timing!

Re: Grease In Both Front Wheels... Normal?

Sigh, the part finally arrived today, "very late" per the service rep, so they will not finish the job today. Hopefully by mid-day tomorrow, which will equal one week out of servie. One more day in my rental Wrangler that smells like dirty socks.
