Guys I just wanted to take a minute and give credit where it is due, we are quick to kick and scream when things don't go our way during a service visit but not so quick to talk about the good.
I took my WK2 in for Service at Capital Dodge in Kanata, Ontario. I have been dealing with this dealer for 12+ years on 3 different Jeeps. My experience has been pretty good over the years with a few minor issues which they corrected right away.
I took the GC in because there was a heavy pulsation when braking which was confirmed to be all 4 rotors warped. I drove 130,000km on the original brakes in my WK1 so I thought the need to replace all 4 at 30,000km to be a little crazy. I spoke to Kyle M, the service manager and he suggested that I contact Chrysler Customer Care as he agreed it was unusual. Kyle had already offered to cover the majority of the labour charges to replace the brakes since I had it in for a brake service recently, which he was in no way obligated to do so.
I called Chrysler (first time ever) and was expecting to get a song and dance about how brakes are a wear item with a 20,000km warranty. Instead the girl that answered was very polite, took all my information and promised to get back to me within 1 business day. The next day she called back to let me know that they had tried to contact Kyle at Capital but he was out of the office so it would be another day, great courtesy on their part. The following day, Chrysler called to let me know that they would cover parts and labour to replace pads and rotors on all 4 corners even though it is a wear item and over the warranty period by a good margin.
I went in to Capital to have the work completed and they found a loose caliper bracket that also needed replacement. The part was ordered overnight and I was given a loaner with out hesitation. I picked up the Jeep the next day and the brakes are smooth as ever!
In summary, great experience at Capital Dodge in Kanata. If you have an issue make sure you talk to Kyle and give them a chance to make things right.
