Re: Greyed out Uconnect soft keys

I thought it was the little accessory wheel beside the headlight control that controlled the brightness... at least it works that way on my 2014.

Re: Greyed out Uconnect soft keys

Flyer, true, but you can actually increase the level of brightness of the interior lighting via the Uconnect screen.

Are you just making sure everything works, or do you prefer the touch screen to the dial?

Either way, see if moving the dial effects what shows on the screen.
Maybe one over rides the other in certain settings.

Re: Greyed out Uconnect soft keys

Bill, even at the highest knob setting, my interior lighting (especially on the doors) is not bright enough for me (it is only set on 5 according to Uconnect). There is a way to make it brighter using Uconnect, which is independent of the knob on the dashboard. Then you could then engage the knob on the dash board to lower and brighten.

Re: Greyed out Uconnect soft keys

That's interesting. If I understand correctly, the screen setting is primary.

Re: Greyed out Uconnect soft keys

If the soft keys are greyed out, try turning the headlight knob to Manual first. You may need to have the car running. Then the greyed out keys should come to life.

Re: Greyed out Uconnect soft keys

I just tried that but it didn't work. Seems as though my interior lighting is hard-coded at level 5.

I think if you turn the auto button off you can then change the setting of the night mode.
