Grinding/Vibration from 2nd to 3rd Gear

I have 300 miles on my vehicle. I am hearing a "grinding like" noise when the vehicle is trying to shift up at a low speed. I don't know if it is a bad noise or just a different transmission querk. Thanks!

What engine? The V-6 models have a different transmission than the Hemi powered ones.

I test drove both engines and neither of them made a grind/vibration/clunk or any other noise when they shifted. I would take it to the dealer for sure!

Re: Grinding/Vibration from 2nd to 3rd Gear

I just bought a CG Limited with the 5.7L motor. Under moderate to heavy acceleration I was getting a grinding noise. The dealership also reproduced the same noise at a standstill by hold the brakes and in drive raising the RPM to around 2K. The issue they finally found is the right side exhaust was rubbing up against a heat shield due to the torque of the motor. They adjusted the head shield and now the noise is gone.

Hope that Helps
