Headlight "Flickr"

I have a 2015 altitude (Stock as far as electrical) I have a slight flash / Flickr that is so intermittent and so fast it's hard to notice. It only has 8k miles and has done it since day one but thought I was nuts as it's hard to notice. Anyone have this issue ? Thanks in advance

Re: Headlight "Flickr"

yeah, ive noticed this on mne too (2015 altitude as well). i remember someone else saying something on it about here and then started to notice mine flicker a lot more. before it seemed to be consistent with hitting a bump in the road but now i'll notice it just sitting in driveway or garage. i have 10k on mine and have noticed ever since the 2k mark or so

Rykid,

I wasn’t able to find a service bulletin that would relate to this concern for you. Have you brought your vehicle into your local certified Jeep dealership to be diagnosed?

Re: Headlight "Flickr"

Just wanted to touch base with someone on here who also had an issue. I just bought the 2015 (less than 1500 miles) and just like you all say I too have the flickering intermittent issue. Did anyone in this thread get any feedback about it?

Re: Headlight "Flickr"

I wonder if maybe the bulbs are not seated correctly on the housing? Or possibly a faulty bulb?

Ok! So this confirms I'm not crazy! 2015 HA EcoDiesel and have the same issue. I noticed it mulitple times driving down from SF to LA last weekend at night. Has anyone taken their rig in to get this looked at?

I haven't done anything yet. It's under warranty. The dealership can figure it out haha

I noticed this the same week I bought my 2015 GC Altitude. I went on a long road trip through the southern states and noticed the flicker when I would hit a small bump in the road. I have no real advice here just that when I swapped over the headlights to the HID/LED ones the flicker went away, so that essentially eliminates the wiring as an issue and points to the headlight assemblies themselves. I know you're covered under warranty just wanted to share lol

Did anyone take their rig into the dealer and come up with a solution? Thanks.

Re: Headlight "Flickr"

Any updates on this?

I've had a '15 Altitude since Dec. '14 and have noticed this happening almost as soon as I took delivery.

Well the other guys have base Altitude editions which would have halogen headlights. So you're saying the HID headlights in your High Altitude edition flicker on and off as well?! First I have heard of an HID equipped one doing that.
