I believe they are still awaiting arrival of the part. Drove by yesterday and the radio unit appears to have been replaced but as I received no call am guessing the rain sensor is still incoming. Will update as soon as I get it back and do a full day of testing. (Hopefully this weekend)

Nothing has changed. Lights still stay on during nice bright sunshiny days. They only turn off when pointed directly into the sun for around 5 minutes. Dealership is scheduling a time for an on site visit with an engineer from up north. They have replaced all sensors that have anything to do with the headlights.

Re: Headlights in AUTO mode bouncing on and off

Bugger !

It needs an engineer who knows how this system works and has the equipment to see the signals and when and where they are coming from.....if it's not a sensor issue module issue if it's not a wiring issue then it's a software issue.

Given there are customers world wide with this annoying problem surely they will put some prio into sorting this out.and reading the forum .by the looks it's been going on for a few years!

Tip for Jeep
Compare the difference between a working car and non working car.

MajorTom
Let's hops the engineer knows his stuff...! Need the guy to move this problem forward.....I find it hard to believe Jeep are not already aware of this one.

Re: Headlights in AUTO mode bouncing on and off

I hope they can get him here quickly. I told the service manager I was not the only one with headlight issues. Told them they should check out some of the groups on the internet and do some searching for Grand Cherokee headlight issues, radio issues and some other things I have mentioned. They might find out things before Chrysler tells them and be a step ahead of troubleshooting some of these issues.

As soon as I get an appointment with the factory tech I will update. The rain sensor is suppose to be the one that controls the sensitivity of the rest of the headlight sensors. All of mine have been changed, so there has to be something else. Just frustrating!!!

Ah, sign my '14 Summit up for this problem too- I LOVE having to CONSTANTLY dick around with the dashboard brightness because the damn headlights turn on for extended periods of time during afternoon daylight hours!

Nope, they're just crap. Tell the dealer to replace them, although, the new ones will probably just do it again.

The headlights on the Summit are $6,000/pair... I'm on my third set!

Careful don't say crap to loud some people in these forum say they have had their jeeps with no issues what so ever and get really upset at those that do have problems or complaints with Chrysler.

Yeah, well noted! Been there and done that! Accept it, folks... The 2014 WK2 is the spawn of model-year release Chrysler crap 2.0, on technological steroids.
