Re: Headlights - Is the range satisfactory?

I have not noticed an issue with the HID's in my 2012 Overland and I drive on some very dark unlit roads coming home from work at 10pm. I have also had my share of cars with OEM HID's so I have plenty of experience to compare it to.
Since IMO the headlights seem on-par with other HID equipped vehicles I have owned/driven, my guess would be that yours might be aimed just a little too low making the cutoff line too close to the car when going that fast. I would aim the headlight up just a little and try that. Make sure that you dont aim them too high as a HID projector aimed into another drivers eye is incredibly bright.
I remember reading issues on some of the 2011's with guys getting flashed which leads me to believe they may have had some aiming issues (although in your case too low).

James

Actually, that is the correct lighting position. If you move it so the left side is the same spread as the right you will be putting more light/glare into the eyes of oncoming traffic.

Re: Headlights - Is the range satisfactory?

Under the hood near the top of the headlight housings there are white nylon adjusting screws. I believe clockwise raises the light cut off.

[QUOte};667957]As noted in original post, speed limit IS 75. I actually went 70.[/QUOTE]

Your common sense was telling you that was fast enough, and the lights are set that way purposely. Have at it.
