That is what I don't get. I've seen WKs with reflectors HIDs and I didn't think it was bright. However I did have a ZJ get behind me with HIDs, holy hell is all that I have to say. I now feel bad about having HIDs in my ZJ for all those years. His lights was so bad, I passed another car just to get away from him

Re: Headlights too bright?

I get this behavior too and my lights are set fine. I agree with whoever said that the other cars are lower in front of us. I mean, we have Jeeps/SUV's.....it goes with the territory if you have a B1tch car Now, if they want to complain about these normal headlights, we can always start going the lightbar route.....then the headlights will seem like nightlights in comparison

lol.... It has become a habit for me to hold my hand on my brights while passing someone, so I can really blind them if they want to bright me...

Re: Headlights too bright?

I usually aim my headlights and fogs down when i put in HID's The scatter from aftermarket, non projector HID's is obnoxious. So i aim then down a bit and I dont get bothered.

some people are just annoying and flash everyone because they are jerks.

Re: Headlights too bright?

I leave the auto dimming high beams on most of the time at night, so people see my headlights dim from the high beams to the regular beams just as I come into view. I have never had anyone flash their high beams at me in my Overland.

Re: Headlights too bright?

People see the blueish light and automatically think they are bright.

On another note I love my auto dimming mirrors of the wg/wj grand and only hope my new wk2 will be the same.

same here angled them down to keep them from being a nuisance.

I usually just pretend i'm calling the cops while i pick my nose in their face.
that or lift my shirt and play with my nipple gets them going pretty well

Re: Headlights too bright?

Park about 25 feet away from a wall, turn lights on, take pic and post it up. Seeing that will help. Usually you want your left headlight(the most likely to blind people) cutoff line to be about 2 inches lower then the actual center of the headlight height on the truck. This ensures that it is angled downward. Not sure if these projectors are adjustable, but if they are not setup properly a knowledgeable tech should be able to square you away. If you can adjust them, just adjust the left one first, then adjust the right one to match.

Re: Headlights too bright?

I had the same problem when I first installed my HID's usually people say line em up to the level of your hood, I took mine down 3 inches from the hood level and no more high beams ... it still lights the crap out of the road

Re: Headlights too bright?

I drive lots of back roads and haven't been flashed once with the new WK2. If I ever get flashed with my low beams on I always let them know by flashing my brights that they are off.
