headrest rattle

I know there have been posts on this over the past 2yrs, but was there ever a fix for it? My dealer replaced the posts and plastic sleeves, but it did very little and the rattle drive me nuts. Obviously, it's not an issue when someone is sitting in the seat, but when not, it's very annoying as it's almost a constant rattle.

Mine seems to have stopped by itself.

Re: headrest rattle

I used scotch clear packing tape to wrap around the posts. Then shoved the posts down into the plastic sleeve (others have also tried this). I also stuffed some thin foam material between the top of the plastic sleeve and the leather seat (seemed like the slight movement/jarring of the plastic sleeve against the leather was also causing a squeak). I don't have anymore rattles/squeaks.

Re: headrest rattle

Mine rattled when it was as low as it would go. Popped it up into the first detent and it stopped.

Re: headrest rattle

I don't think it's so much the posts as it's the guts of the head restraint.
