Heated seat control

I own a Summit 2014 and experience intermittent problems with passenger heated seat control. When I start the engine, a control panel appears where I can set seat and stering's heating. By default, driver is set to high and steering is on. Then, I can swithc the driver's from Hi to low and set the passenger's seat from off to low and accept these settings. When I start moving, the main screen appears and very often the passenger'seat is set to high. I would say this happens 50 % of the time.

Did anybody experienced this type of behavior ?

What would you do to report such a problem ? If I call the dealer, they look for a chrysler update. If there's no fix, I'm not confident that the dealer will report the problem to Chrysler. In the states, I saw that you have a phone number where you can report this type of problem yourself. In Canada, do we have such a phone number ?

Thanks J Guy

Edit : I found a previous thread for the same problem. Didn't understand if this was fixed or not with a tsb. Still curious to know how reporting problems in Canada ...

Re: Heated seat control

Mine does the same thing, but for the driver's seat. When I start up, nothing is on by default. I use the initial start up screen to turn my seat on Lo. Then when the Uconnect boots up fully and I go to the controls screen, my seat is on high. I usually don't notice it until my ass is burning haha.

But yeah, it's annoying. The other thread you found didn't say if it was fixed?

Re: Heated seat control

AAA : Why would Canadian deserve a worst service ... not sure to understand your comment.

Dcorn : I finally understood that the tsb is for another problem (those not able to uncheck an option). I'll check my manual cause it seems we may be the problem as the saved keyfob settings may be the real culpit. I'll be back soon.

Re: Heated seat control

In another thread I found a post saying that my problem could be related to keyfob memory settings. I tested the memory settings and could not find a way to have my setting coming on by itself with uconnect (drivers seat low) neither having this setting in the splash screen.

I concluded that keyfob memory does not store any seat and steering heating settings or it's not properly managed. By the way, the user manual never says it's managed by memory. So, it's a complete waste of time to have these settings in the splash screen. If I want to set it once only, I have to wait for uconnect.

Did someone find a way to use/change these splash screen settings ?

J Guy
