Re: heated seats problem

I had an issue with my '15 Altitude. I tightened up the harness under the seat and that fixed the problem.

Re: heated seats problem

it's only happening at freezing temperatures

when it warms up in afternoon or in a heated garage, they work fine

Chicago cold midnight hours, it doesn't work

Re: heated seats problem

I'm having a similar issue on my 12 Overland. The driver seat isn't working but the passenger seat is. I'm wondering if I should head to the dealer myself

Forgive my ignorance, but what is there to tighten up? I looked under the passenger and driver side seats and see a few electrical plugs.

Re: heated seats problem

Some thing in that circuit is pulling to much current, either your seat heat coils are starting to die ,break or burn open or something else button is shutting off for protection, take it in

Re: heated seats problem

Hi SRT8Fanatic,
I was unable to find any TSBs that might resolve the heated seat concern you described for your vehicle. I would recommend having your local servicing dealership take a look at your Jeep to see if they can provide you with a diagnosis for the cause of this concern. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to be of assistance through this process.

This is for Emily, my Social Care Specialist. I have a '15 Overland High Altitude. BOCA Raton, Florida doesn't get as cold as Michigan (Brrrr!) but I don't think my heated seats get nearly as warm as the Limiteds I have rented in Chicago with sub zero weather. I have seen other posts with this same issue but no clear info as to whether this is the new normal operation or if there is a dealer fix. I would like an official manufacturer opinion on this. Incidentally, my mfd date is October 2015.

Hi englanderm,

Thank you for reaching out to us. There is a TSB for this concern, but if your MFD is October 2015 you would be outside of the constraints for the TSB. I still have included the TSB below for the community to review.

I can certainly look further into the concern you are experiencing on your vehicle. We have different options for our seats, one is ventilated and one is not. Do you know if your seat is ventilated (Sales code CAJ)?

TSB: 08-041-15
SUBJECT:
Front Heated Seats Improvements
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves updating the Heated Seat Module (HSM) and replacing both front cushion, heater elements.
MODELS:

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or before August 22, 2014 (MDH 0822XX) equipped with Heated Front Seats (Sales Codes JPM) and WITHOUT Ventilated Front Seats (Sales Codes CAJ).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience the heated seat feature may not control the temperature properly. The seat temperature could either be too warm or cold.

Thank you,

Re: heated seats problem

There is a TSB for the 2015 heated seat problem. Check wk2jeeps.com. It just came out a few days ago.
