Re: Heated seats question

Interesting... wk2jeeps lists a TSB 08-041-15 for heated front seat improvements for owners complaining of the seats being either too hot or not having sufficient heat. Issued for 2013-2015 WK2's.

The only problem is that this TSB applies to vehicles built on or before August 22, 2014 (MDH 0822XX) equipped with Heated Front Seats (Sales Codes JPM) and WITHOUT Ventilated Front Seats (Sales Codes CAJ).

Re: Heated seats question

Yeah we need a few to go in and have the dealer open a star case to get the ball rolling. I would say mine is barely noticeable on high. I live in Arizona so not really an issue but frustrating when my wife complains that I always have issues with my jeeps. She thinks I make this crap up.

I hear ya. I will be taking mine in to the dealer next Saturday to have them correct my off center steering wheel. Will see what they say then.

Took the jeep to the dealer & they did have a software update for the seats but didnt fix the problem - tech said he would open up a star case and let me know what jeep will do

Re: Heated seats question

now that the temps have really dropped I notice that the seats are basically doing nothing in terms of heat, my butt being on the seat for 10 mins probably produces about the same temperature that the seat is currently putting out on high, waiting to see what the dealers tell the guys who are bringing them in.

Re: Heated seats question

I have a year old altitude and I have never been happy with the amount of heat from the seats or wheel. Definitely not as warm as I would like

Re: Heated seats question

Quasi-related question:

My heated/vented seats heat and vent just fine.

However, I seem to be unable to figure out the "auto-on" feature.

Yest Ive tinkered in the touch screen settings...I've tried all three options available on the screen. I've read the hard-copy owners manual...and it refers the operator to the DVD owners manual....which does not contain the section that the written manual tells the owner to go to.

In other words...I cant figure it out. I know it should be able to start the seats and steering wheel automatically whenever I use remote start of "normal" starting....but it doesnt do it automatically.

Yes...I actually have to touch the touchscreen to make it toast my buns.

So...does anyone know if there is some sort of secret handshake I have to do with the computer to convince it that I really, truly, honestly want the seats to be warm when I get in the vehicle?

Oh year...ambient temps in the 40's here, lately. By our standards...thats pretty frigg'n cold and I wants toasty buns and warm hands.

THX

Re: Heated seats question

When the feature is enabled the drivers seat heat function will activate when the temperature is below 40 degrees farenheit. They may come on at 40.

The vented seat will come on when the temperature is above 80 degrees.

It applies to both a remote and a normal start action.

Re: Heated seats question

I have a '11 with heated/vented seats. The cooled seats worked great this summer. However, the heated seats are barely working. This is my first winter with the jeep. There is definitely something wrong with them. Any ideas on something we can pre check before taking it to the dealer?

Now my wife is going to act smart for getting the warranty... Smh

Re: Heated seats question

I'm also noticing the heated seats on my 2015 altitude taking a while to heat up even after remote start. Sometimes I have to turn them off and on manually to get them to heat up
