Re: Heated Seats Shut Off After 15 Minutes

Maybe I over exaggerated a bit in regards to how hot the elements got.
That seat heater recall was crap. In the latest literature for that recall, techs were instructed to place the heating element under the foam instead of between the leather and foam. Hence, the "upgrade" it took longer for the heat to reach your b-cheeks.

Discussing the elements catching fire, regardless which part number it's updated to, it's still in contact with the seat cushion foam. I haven't seen the elements in our WK2's as of yet, but I'm pretty certain it's an entirely different type of element.

I have the same issue, heated front driver seat only stay on for about 15 mins then shuts off automatically, when i try to turn it back on, the lights on the button stay on for a second and turn off. Any suggestions?

Manual says:

"If the High-level setting is selected, the system will automatically switch to Low-level after
approximately 55 minutes. The Low-level setting will turn Off automatically after
approximately 45 minutes."
