Heated Wheel and Seat Upon Remote Start

I have noticed that when I use the remote start the heat for the seats and steering wheel also turn on. However, it seems to be hit and miss. Sometimes they are on when i get in, other times they are off. Is the system dependant on the temperature or is it malfunctioning? I have tried resetting it in the evic.

Re: Heated Wheel and Seat Upon Remote Start

It's outside temp related. I think the threshold is 36 degrees or lower.

Re: Heated Wheel and Seat Upon Remote Start

Living in Edmonton, Canada, that is a great feature. When I park in the garage, it starts with nothing on. When I use the remote at the office or anywhere it is outside, the heat blasts, the wheel heats up as my seat. The only thing I wish is that all the other seat warmers would activate. We hade -30 awhile ago and the seats were just like concrete...ha.

Yes it is temp related. I only wish that the front defroster went on at the same time. It is a minor thing but I do understand why it cant be that way too.

All good and yes mine does the same thing.

Correct. If you open the door fast enough, you can hear the fans slow down for the front defrost.

Re: Heated Wheel and Seat Upon Remote Start

It was 39 degrees out when I tried the remote start, when I got in the seat and wheel heaters were on.

I thought it was below 40 degrees for the heaters to come on and above 80 for the cooling fans.
