HELP!! 2011 WK2 Limited Hood stuck.

Hello again,
Well my new GC is awesome, I've put almost 5K on it since I bought it a month and a half ago(Atlanta driving). When I first got it there was no problem and I could easily open the hood. Now when I try to open the hood the cable pulls taught from the interior but the hood is not released like normal. as of right now I cannot get into my hood and would like to check the filter and change my loyal. Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions as to how to open the hood temporarily so I can get inside? Or should I take it to ease dealership? Also does anybody have any diagrams so I can see what the cable is actually loosening so maybe I can open it myself from the grill? Is there a way to remove the grill from the car without first removing the hood?

Did you try having someone release the hood while pulling up on it? Maybe the mechanism is working but the hood is just stuck on that end making it seem like the release isn't working. Just a thought..

You want to remove the grill in order to open the hood?? Just go to the dealer. Be sure to report back to us.

Re: HELP!! 2011 WK2 Limited Hood stuck.

Yes i've tried having my father pull up on the hood while I release the cable and vice versa neither of us with any success. I am looking for a diagram of the mechanism so I can see where to put pressure. My problem is that I cannot fit my fingers through the slats and I do not know where to put pressure on the mechanism in order to release the latch. If anybody has a diagram it would be quite helpful. The only reason I wanted to take the grill off without taking the hut up was because my 2012 ram was very easy to take the grill off. I also cannot fit my fat fingers through the grill slats to get to the mechanism
