Hi guys,
I desperately need help here. I bought my 2011 Overland last summer, and when I bought, they had to change a suspension bag in the rear, and recalibrate the gaz system. When I got it, i noticed the whole truck would shake on any bump in the road.
It is a lot more noticeable when doing 80km/h and + but it happens a lower speed too.. just a bit less. You hit a bump or a hole, or specially a joint on a bridge, and you feel the whole truck shaking. Just like if the suspension was gone, and riding on springs only.
I showed to the dealer. They didnt find anything, so I bought 2 used shocks, and installed them, they recalibrated everything. Problem was still there. I then bought 2 brand new front shocks, thinking it would fix it... at 899$ each + time... and its still the same. I have spent sooo much money trying to fix this thing and the dealer is out of ideas.
The Jeep quadra lift works fine. It lowers and raises no problem, and keep its height over night.. so no leek. you try to do the bouncing test while pushing on the front bumper a couple of times, suspension feels firm and ok.
Im starting to wonder if its not the mechanic that doesnt know how to calibrate them?
I noticed when its really cold outside the problem seems to be better. Less shaking. Also, I had 2 times a "suspension warning" on the dash. Thats when it was so freaking cold. I think it couldnt lower the jeep on the highway because it was frozen, so it threw the error code. I just put jeep in my heated garage, and all was fine again. Jeep was able to lower and raise.
It is really getting on my nerves and is really anoying. now dealer doesnt really want to do anything because they have checked everything they say and have no clue what it is. No loose bushing, not "clok" sound.
Could it be a engine mount ? I m lost and I starting to regret buying this Jeep. I might have better with a SRT8 or a Laredo without the Quadralift.
any input would be greatly appeciated.
Manny thanks
