Help needed with antenna cover replacement

So I parked in a garage recently and crunched the plastic antenna cover on my new WK2. I go to mopars website for a replacement and there are like 20 to choose from...how am I supposed to know which one goes with my model? Has anyone replaced theirs before that can help me out?

Re: Help needed with antenna cover replacement

Do not purchase the VG garage version for 2014...it does not fit. Also the instructions they give you for removing the old one are completely wrong. Removal of the original antenna will require you to remove paneling and the interior sat nav stuff doesn't come with the VG antenna either.

Still trying to find a replacement on mopars website

Re: Help needed with antenna cover replacement

Cool, got it. Yes, it's the colors. My part no on my invoice for the exterior body color shark fin (and base cable and bracket) is 1YG06JRPAC. I have a Cherry Red '14 JGC and this part number matches what is called for in the TSB below AND the TSB lists all the other body color part numbers! BANG!

Re: Help needed with antenna cover replacement

Well not quite a bang! The part numbers on my invoice and in the TSB don't show up on mopar.com One of these in the TSB is #5LQ48ZZZAA on mopar.com but which one?

I have a chrysler parts guy in Detroit who should be able to give me the cross reference of the TSB part numbers. I sent him an email and will post them here when I get them.

Hope it helps.

UPDATE:

the part numbers listed on mopar.com are the OLD BAD part numbers that the TSB replaces with the ones in the TSB. Question is, how do you order the updated TSB part number?

blinsquito...is your rig covered by the TSB? do you have a good relationship with the srvc mgr? maybe you had the problems listed in the TSB and before you could bring it in you wacked it accidentally...ya, ya that's what happened Mr. Friendly Service Advisor ....just sayin'

Re: Help needed with antenna cover replacement

If you can't finagle one per the TSB then lookup your part number in the TSB and go here to order it. This is the oder page for my part number so you have an example.

Re: Help needed with antenna cover replacement

Thanks for all the help! I ended up removing it from the jeep and snapping a picture of the Mopar sticker on the underside. The part number starts with a P...all the model numbers on Mopar's website are old and\or just plain wrong. Mine ended up being P05091352AB and I found it on Mopar's website by doing a search without the P on the front. My guess is these are new to the system and have not been parsed through their online database yet.

I ended up putting some silicon sealant on the underside while I had it off of the jeep in order to protect against water damage until I get the new one...might wait until my free year of Sat Radio is up though since they will cancel the service with a new antenna installed.

One thing I want to stress to people looking into a 3rd party replacement is these are not easy to remove and you could damage your headliner if you are not careful popping it out. There are two small cables and a very awkward to reach bolt to remove the chasis under the roof...but it can be done!
