Help with this Software Update Sticker

I have a Laredo X, 3.6L V6. I have a power issue, generally a low speeds when pulling out or starting to go and get a 'power lag'. Just a lag where it takes a second to get going; but can be an unnerving feeling. I think this will be solved by TSB 18-012-11.

I was wondering if anyone knows what this sticker is for though? I am guessing before I bought it (off the lot) in January they did some kind of flash (build date was 9/10).

Re: Help with this Software Update Sticker

From the factory, there is a label like that on the engine computer module (see my Post#24 at this thread: http://jeepgarage.org/showthread.php...141#post380141).

My label is from a mid-November build, so predated any of the more recent TSBs or engine flashes.

Your sticker has different numbers on it from mine, so I cannot tell whether your powertrain may have more recent software. But it is different.

If you PM the last 8 digits of your VIN to Milous he may be able to provide more info about flashes applied to your vehicle.

There is a more current TSB (18-012-11a) that applies to vehicles built before March 6 that addresses your issue. If you can't read these pics go to:

Re: Help with this Software Update Sticker

Just had mine done on monday(4/11) this week.
The TSB 18-012-11a & 18-001-11, it drives 100% better
Its like they gave me 30 more hp. Much much better when
towing also.
Now I want to compare gas milage before and after the
TSB's were done.
"git r done"

That sticker is from the factory. If the dealer did a flash the sticker will be handwritten and will not have the barcode. That's if they even put it on.In other words, the sticker is pretty much meaningless. The only way to tell if the software is up to date is to take it to the dealer, have them hook up the Witech and it will automatically check for software updates for all modules.
