Here's a new one: water coming in from the B pillar.

Hey all. 2014 WK2 with a strange little leak coming through the seatbelt mount on the b pillar. The only thing I can think of is that I had my roof rails off at one point to have my roof wrapped, and possibly the screw holes were leaking. However I took the rail off again after a heavy rain today and it was bone dry under there. It doesn't appear to be leaking at the moment, but there are airbags and such back there, ya know?

And here's a few pics of the situation.

And water staining on the seatbelt when pulled out more which makes me wonder if this has been going on for a little while.

Suggestions? I'm going to start by using teflon tape on the rail's screw threads to start as I noticed there was a factory film of thread locker on there (dont know if it was for sealant purposes though.)

So far, my headliner is dry and stain-free as well and I'd like to keep it that way if I can.

Does anyone have the instructions on how to remove the B pillar trim anyway? The WK2 Jeeps site is absolutely worthless to me since I can't seem to download anything from there.

Thanks!

Do you have a sunroof ? I believe the sun roof drain lines run down those and there has been a case or two of the line being cracked or having a leak.

I totally forgot to mention it in the first post- there's no sunroof.

Okay, so I popped the B pillar trim off and ran a hose on the outside of the truck for an hour. No leaks, no nothin.

Ouch. That's how my 2002 GC rotted out one of the wheel wells. $5000.00 estimate to fix. Caused by the roof rack (no sunroof). I put some pretty damn heavy stuff on it though.

Make sure it's not condensation.

What's a "Roof Wrap"?

It rained all night and everything inside was bone dry after I took the rail off and reseated the screws that hold it down. I don't know if that was the fix, but in the last 12 hours it's had a ridiculous amount of water on it and there were no new signs of intrusion.

This is what I mean when I say I had the roof wrapped.

It's at the dealership right now, but they said right up front that they've never seen a leak like this before. Wonderful, I always love being the test case.
