And yup, the HID's automatically do a leveling test when you start the car. That's why they move up and down for a quick 2 seconds when you boot up, to make sure the leveling motors are working. It's normal
ok cool, yeah no QL then for me. Might just have to bump up the headlighs a smidge. I turned off the AUTO feature for my headlights. It was irritating having the brights turn on and off, on and off. the lever is a mere inch away from your finger. not that hard to do it myself, lol.

Re: HID Headlights pointed up too high?

I'm having this issue in my 2015 JGC limited non-QL. My HID headlights point directly in front of the Jeep and I can't see anything at night any my high beams are worthless. Anyone adjust a 2014+ JGC HID headlight?

I got the dealer to lower mine at the last service. No charge. You can adjust them yourself, the topic is covered elsewhere on this site.

Cheers, Simon

Re: HID Headlights pointed up too high?

Adjustment can be done with a long Phillips screwdriver down the hole located above the headlight. See this pic:

Headlights - Is the range satisfactory?

I have a diesel model.. I see the screw for the driver side, but not for the passenger side.

Re: HID Headlights pointed up too high?

All I can say is keep taking it to the dealership call star care get a case number and wait and wait and wait but be patient and keep taking it in. This is what I did and two years later a lot of phone calls and trips to the dealer they finally said its a lemon and I ordered a brand new 15. It's only 5 month old and less the 8000 miles but one things for sure the hid's work like they should. Keep at it though I swear the employees at the dealership are trained to kindly blow you off. In the end they say it was the fault of the main computer. Ps... Get a dash cam so you can film the public flashing there lights at you and the guy you get behind that thinks you won't turn your brights off yea it's ridiculous. Good luck all

Re: HID Headlights pointed up too high?

I guess what I was trying to say is QL owners
With hid's that don't adjust properly need to take there jeep back to the dealership and get star care involved. There was no fix for this in July of 2015 and after reading these posts it looks like the problem still exists. That's all "wut"
