HID Kit Killed Passenger Headlight

I have a 2013 JGC with halogen headlamps that I "upgraded" to HID using a relay kit and anti-flicker cancelers. It all worked for a little while. Then, intermittently, the lights would go out and come right back on (passenger headlight harness is used to switch the relay that powers the whole kit). Then finally, both went out, never to come back on. Now, I have power coming from the driver side headlight harness, but nothing coming from the passenger harness, which was supplying the relay for the HID kit. I have since re-installed the halogen bulbs, but of course, the passenger side is not working, since there is no power coming from the passenger headlamp harness. Any ideas? I have searched these forums and the web for any fuse or relay that supplies power to that headlight, but have found nothing I could use. I have seen something about a front end module or forward electrical module, but don't know what or where it is. Should I just give up and use the HID relay on the driver side harness to power both the driver and passenger headlights? Also, there are no fuses in the fuse block for the headlights.

Re: HID Kit Killed Passenger Headlight

After hours of research and just staring at the thing completely dumbfounded, I wondered if the brights would come on on the passenger side, so I tried that. Sure enough, they worked. However, I started seeing SMOKE coming out of the area! During my troubleshooting, I had left the low beam plugged in, but out of the headlamp assembly. Apparently, turning the highbeam on made the low beam come on, and, of course, it was laying against some plastic. So, I ran over to dim the headlights, but the passenger headlight low beam stayed on! Yay! So the fix to "reset" it was to switch on the high beams and go back to low. OMG, how dumb, but what a relief!!!
