Okay so broad question but I will refine it a bit. Did some searching on here and couldn't find my answer so I thought it was safe to ask.

Interior , engine and suspension aside.

What are the exterior differences? I noticed the bottom lip is a little bigger on the srt8, but what about the fender flares, doors, rear hatch , hood, front fenders etc?

Or maybe I should ask what on the exterior is shared?

Thanks.

Ok so here are the exterior differences that I know of:
-SRT has adaptive headlights (move left and right during turns). High Altitude does not, however visually, the lights look identical. Both have the black bezels.
-entire front and rear bumpers are different.
-wheels obviously
-SRT mirrors look the same, but do not have power fold feature.
-High Altitude uses the same dark bezels tail lamps, but instead of gloss black lower bezel, the HA has Trivalant finish (black chrome).
-Most SRTs with exception to Vapor editions have all chrome emblems. HA has gloss black.
-SRT has its own special hood with vents.

Shared items:
-low profile roof rails
-fender flares and lower side skirts.

For conversion sake, the High Altitude would be a fairly easy base to start with as all you would really need would be front and rear bumpers, hood, and wheels and you have a SRT lookalike. Not everyone here will approve of that, but it's yours to do as you please. Just as long as you don't do the SRT badge I'm fine with it lol. The High Altitude has aggressive looks as is, a set of SRT black chrome Goliath or Spider monkey wheels alone would look good enough.

Thanks for the awesome reply!

I don't plan on making a clone but was interested to see what was shared. I do like the front lip that hangs a bit lower and the hood is more aggressive. I wouldn't buy the wheels, maybe just spacers on this!

Just ordered led interior, revers and fogs. Planning on getting some rubicon wheels and blizzacks for next winter and we will see where he nods go from there!

OK, so my broad question is this. If I am between the V8 High Altitude and the SRT, is there one that would be the better choice? Money is not the issue, more of a "right decision" question. I like the idea of plenty of horsepower, but is there difference really worth a $20K price increase?

That’s a question only you can answer, but since money is not the issue I would definitely test drive both. The SRT has stiffer gearing for better performance in addition to the added HP so mpg’s will be slightly less if that matters. The next question would be, is the Trackhawk with 707 HP worth the premium over the SRT? :)

It would be a daily driver and the potential for pulling a boat starting next season. I have a 2015 Altitude now with the V6. It's been great and zero issues. I can drop a supercharger on it, but I am leaning towards the new vehicle, if for no other reason to change it up a bit.
