I have had no reason to test the micro on the hood catch however, today I drove from the house to the main shed on the property to remove some of the Victorian dust from the engine bay with the air compressor. I left the hood unlatched and drove the few 100meters just using the secondary safety latch to stop the hood from lifting.. Max speed about 5 Km/Hr.
I thought I would have seen the "Hood Release" Tell-Tale showing on the EVIC, nothing there..
Anyone know what the parameters are for this warning? Will take it for a longer run down the driveway to see if it will trigger before I get to the road. Just like to determine if I have a faulty micro switch on the mechanism.
