The upper shock mounts are for the rear shocks that they called me about. I was told it was almost like a TSB to prevent possible future problems.
Not "like a TSB." The upper rear shock mounts have two TSBs. Check this page and scan down the the Suspension list for 17-002-10 and 17-003-10.

Thanks I will take it in when I get a chance. I haven't tried snow mode again yet. Don't want to ruin my day if it makes that noise again.

Re: Horrible front end noise

Were you able to get your issue fixed? I just bought a 2011 JGC Laredo X on Saturday. About 30 miles from the dealer it started making a similar noise. Service manager was able to replicate the noise but could not fix it. We are taking it back there this weekend and leave it for a few days.

Re: Horrible front end noise

I have a noise in the rear of mine at low speed. They are replacing the whole rear axle assembly. Hopefully this resolves it.

Is your noise all the time at low speeds? Mine is random. The service manager can duplicate withe hard turning but sometimes does it when coasting to a stop, but not every time.

To be honest I haven't put it in snow mode again. All it's going to do is make me mad on the drive home and right now I don't have time to take it to the dealership.

Does yours make the sound in snow mode or any mode? Mine would make a front end noise in auto turning corners in the subdivision. Haven't heard this lately. In snow mode it would make the noise when letting off the gas and coasting. Notice this when doing about 50mph and letting of the gas.

Re: Horrible front end noise

The owners manual does state that some noise and vibration is to be expected during snow mode operation. Sounds like yours is more than "some", but, some is relative

I have only driven mine in auto so far. We drove around the dealership parking lot for a while before it started doing it for the service manager. He thought it had do with the front driver side wheel when turning, but it also did it once when coasting to a stop. When I hit the brakes it stopped, then started again when I let off the brake.

No it does not do it all the time, but it does make the noise in auto or snow. I get a noise from the rear when coasting to a stop and when coasting at about 25 but it will only make the noise at 25 if I swerve while coasting. If I touch the gas at all the noise stops. They at first thought it was the rear breaks noise was still there now they are replacing the rear axle. I will post if this resolves the problem.

Re: Horrible front end noise

Not sure if there's a correlation but I believe snow mode does a lot with the front brakes to both clear the disks when wet and apply braking to individual wheels as slip is detected.

Same exact problem with me. When it was doing it all the time around the same corner I switched to sport and it didn't make the noise. Mine is on the front drivers side as well. It doesn't shake the well or shudder you just hear a noise like a tennis ball shaking in a coffee can.

I will let you know what the dealer is able to tell me next week. It just makes me sick to my stomach to have something wrong with it. This is my first new vehicle in 10 years.
