How to remove rear hatch interior?

I recently installed a sub in my '11 GC and it is causing some rattling from the rear hatch. I think I know the specific spot it's coming from and if I could just remove the interior I'm sure I could find what's causing the rattle. How do I remove the interior panel from the rear hatch?

It's held with clips. I recommend getting a trim removal tool which will allow you to free the clips and pull the panel off.

This is the trim removal tool I have, works great: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4VHWhH1...anel-Tool.html

Re: How to remove rear hatch interior?

As Rage stated above. A trim tool is definately recommended. On the trim panels I've had to remove lately, the clips were super tight. I can't recall exactly how many but I believe it's appx 10 or so.

I've had to do a few rattle repairs in my Jeep as well. Made up some shims from small strips of neophrene I had laying around. It's whisper quiet in there now. Had earlier issues with door panel rattles. Removed panels and tightened the interior screws that secure the trim to the panel. All is well now.
