HVAC- Temp Up/ Temp Down

For those with Dual Temperature Control ( sorry Laredo folks, I knew I should have bought that trim level):

In "Manual" mode only: If you set a temperature ( ex 74 F), and then move the temperature down 2 degrees. How is the temperature change?

My '14 Limited doesn't change output temp for several minutes and then it drops to a "vent" temperature ( to catch up).

This is the same for Temp Up. Set it up 2 degrees. No temp change for a couple of minutes and then to " catch up" it goes to a very warm temp.

Please tell me this isn't normal and I don't think it's the same symptoms of others with hot air always blowing? 80% of my dissatisfaction with this Jeep is the HVAC.

Al

Hi Al: Yes my Limited will sometimes do what you describe but not always. I have been in my car a lot this winter and some days I can leave it set at 72 degrees (manual mode) and things were fine, maybe bump it down to 70, and other days it would do drastic changes as you said if I changed the temp setting. Kind of baffled me, few times had to run it down to low to get it to cool off at all. Wonder if it is software realated? Dave
