Great...another TSB that the dealerships in my area won't perform...

Re: HVAC Too hot - TSB!

I had it done late last week and so far seems to be working as designed now. I can have the temp set at 70 and it does not blow out 100 degree heat.

Re: HVAC Too hot - TSB!

So when you guys went to the dealer did you ask for the specific tsb? Or complain that the heating/cooling system wasn't working right?

You can say your auto HVAC is too warm and if they say they can't find anything wrong or there is no fix you can quote the TSB number. Personally I like to give them the opportunity to act on the concern before telling them what I think is wrong.... Just my style though

Ya I'm not much for telling people how to do their jobs lol. It's just hard to get what you want without telling them! I'm always researching and feels wrong to be more informed than the dealership.

I do a lot of work at car dealerships and while I don't defend them when it comes to not knowing, I do see why it is not uncommon for people to be less passionate about their jobs then their personal vehicles or hobbies. I wish they could be but???

Re: HVAC Too hot - TSB!

I always give them time to hopefully figure it out. In this case I started the process and told them I would let them know if a fix was released. I took it in and gave them the TSB info just as I promised and they flashed it. All ok so far. I now have a rattle that I have given them 5 days on. Done with that. I am providing them the fix tomorrow. Sometimes I wonder if they ever think outside of the Chrysler box. If they would look on here they would find the answers to several issues I have read about. Guess they aren't allowed to get off the corporate path!

Re: HVAC Too hot - TSB!

You should all just ask the dealer to perform TSB # 2400314. Otherwise most dealers won't find it. They don't have the ability to memorize all of the TSB's thrown at them. You don't ask you don't get.

They must have some way to check, maybe when they hook the car up to the computer. I've gone in and asked to have 1 TSB update done. They did 3, and the extra 2 were not RRTs.

Re: HVAC Too hot - TSB!

I always make it a habit to ask them to check for any TSB's when in for service. I usually know prior to going in if there are any so I check the work order before leaving to be sure it was done and if not why it wasn't.
