Re: I am Out of Here

So look I get it. I am out of here. Please accept my apologies for injecting some real life experience. I promise to no longer post or be involved. It is all flowers and roses good luck. I am not one to rain on the party. Jeep is great I really like the SUV when it works. To me it says American more then any other brand out there. It is me not you. I have issues I should learn to accept poor customer service and a bad product. Just the luck of the draw. I will now shut up and pay the price for being a Jeep fan. I hope you never experience this. It really is intolerable, expensive and time consuming.
The dealership and FCA directly will not give me access to the almighty local rep for the Mid - Atlantic area that in just about every tread on this forum and others say is the one who can help. To me this presents a big issue. I cannot even get them to pass my information along. They say they do not exist. So either a punch of peeps on this forum are misunderstanding or FCA is lying. Does not matter much JGC in shop day 4 this time waitting for the FCA tech to call! He has not even called yet! I guess I know my place.
If you get a chance seriously check out ALLUDC build it is not only extremely nice it is unique very tasty fully creative. I thank him for the help. I will be having a garage sale on various brand new JGC upgrade items look for them on Craigslist in the Philadelphia area. I will offer 1/2 off what I paid and free shipping.
Good bye.

You can save a few bucks on your bulbous Porsche by having them delete the douchebag attitude, since you've already got one.

Like my other 7 Jeeps have been the SRT is just fine, and I'll be happy to wave as I pass.

First I take exception to name calling. Your an adult I presume. Second it is a tread about a buyback issue
If you want to live in your all is perfect world. Do not read it and finally yes I will be on side of road Jeep has assured that please wave. Please relax with the posturing seriously

Your 50K GC (not talking SRT) is top of the line and fully loaded. Porsche's cheapest and basic 911 is over 80k. Then compare the dealership and maintenance expenses and think why all luxury brands offer you loaners? Because, they cost for those loaners are billed into your maintenance cost. You just don't see it but you pay 2600 for timing belt change (I know I paid for my Audi)

Btw, tell me if Ford and GM treats you any better than FCA? I have been to those forums too and most people complains about them too.

It comes down to your expectations, how good your local dealership is, and how helpful your service advisor is to get help from manufacturer.

So, two things will happen for sure. A.) You refuse to understand this logic and argument. B.) FCA will continue to keep treating us like they always had.

Oh...and this is what it is. I know I am not driving a Porsche, and I don't expect to be treated like one either. You want to be treated like one...spend more money.

Apples and oranges.
As on owner of a 911 and an SRT, I must say that while the experiences at the dealers are different, I have been treated VERY well in both Porsche and Jeep/Chrysler/Fiat/Whatever.

I have had a lot of niggly issues with my Jeep lately, and they have taken care of everything and provided a rental. I have been quite impressed...

For the 997.2 GTS, the maintenance has been in the tires...other than oil changes the car has been a beast...and with an OEM muffler recall I got a Cayenne rental

There are a lot of factors, but the fact that I have an SRT and have been all over the dealer...and purchased a GT3 from the Porsche dealer, I think I am somewhat of an annomally. But hopefuly not

Re: I am Out of Here

People get all twitchy when you post about real problems with vehicles you love, don't they?

My wife and I went through an absolutely horrible experience with our 2014 GC that was only bought back when lawyers got involved. We went to a CR-V which was supremely boring, but trouble-free for 40K miles. Lease is up, we're going to try again with another GC, but I am a bit worried about walking into another new car with issues. Hopefully we'll be OK with this one. I was glad I heard they had redesigned the shifter, even before the news. I hated that thing.

But honestly, the best thing that could happen to CJF is for Marchionne to openly say - you know what? We know we've had issues in the past. But we're committing to a five-year-plan for all our brands to hit the top-ten in the industry when it comes to reliability and initial quality. It won't be easy, but that's our commitment to our loyal customers who have made us so successful.

One can dream, right?

My good friend just got a 16' Overland with the High Altitude trim and it is a great ride. It is VERY comfortable, and they have made some great minor tweaks to the WK2. It also feels "tighter" (better fitment) than my 14'...

Good luck with your next purchase...the hunt is always fun!
