Re: I am Out of Here

I'm having trouble understanding how so many of you are trashing a guy who is getting a Cayenne Turbo. That is such an unbelievable example of fine European automotive accomplishment. I also can't compare the Porsche to a Jeep. Maybe an X5M or a high end Range Rover, but not the Jeep. I was willing to sacrifice the extraordinary service I received from my Infiniti dealer and the 4 yr/60,000 mile warranty to move to a Grand Cherokee High Altitude. After 4 months and about 5,700 miles, I have no regrets at this time. I have been sucking up to the service manager and GM that made the deal with me in hopes that they will take care of me. I can only keep my fingers crossed that I won't be disappointed. When I considered a ML350 a few years ago from an Auto Nation store I did IT work for, the Service Director talked me out of it. Reliability was nowhere near what my Infiniti had. When I drove Audi's, they were always in the shop for something. Out of fear, I got rid of my '01 A6 wagon at about 75,000 miles because the out of warranty repairs were killing me. I'm currently in love with my Jeep. I'd love the Porsche but my wife would divorce me and that would wipe me out. She would probable get the Porsche in the settlement, too. In conclusion, while I wouldn't put the Jeep in the same class as the Cayenne Turbo, and $50,000 in nowhere near the $125,000 or so, I still drool when I see one. And...since I installed the lowering links, my wife has let up on me for how hard it is for her to climb in.

Many of us want reasonable off road ability for deep snow, going to ski mountains, light trails, etc. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo is more than up to the task.

YOU!

How about YOU just show a little class and wish the man well. He's been through a lot with his buy back. I should know I went through it too it's hell.

Re: I am Out of Here

in this situation, the worst part of all is when you cant trust your local dealership. it sucks! i am very fortunate, because i know the guys that work the desk and in the shop. i trust them completely. unfortunately, their sales department sucks, but they do not treat me like s*** for not purchasing it there.

i would absolutely slip into a porsche cayenne anyday. i just dont want to have all my $ going towards one vehicle, need a summer ride; hellcat next spring.

i'm sorry you didnt have good luck with your jeep. my ecodiesel with tune and a couple extra goodies is really a great set up for me. no complaints as of yet!

oh and poeple who rag on you for buying a porsche... they is jealous!

Re: I am Out of Here

Ditto! The only downside I can foresee with the Cayenne Turbo is how much it's gonna cost to replace all those tires after playing with all that power.

Alright YOU, YOU BOSSY! lol ur right on one thing, a lil sympathy doesnt hurt and its the nice thing to do. I do wish the man well, I didnt put any voodoo spells on his Porsche either, and wish his experience wouldve been 180 degrees different towards the better. But you cant deny the fact that if lets say you started a thread saying u dont like ur SRT, its junk and its nothing but problems, and ur dealer sucks...theres gonna be a boat load of members here who would tell you otherwise first and then would congratulate you on your next purchase. So thats what's happening here; totally normal, nothing out of the usual. Just dont fall into the habit of telling people what to do/write and expect them to do/think as you'd like. Now i can see why you so disappointed in my "CLASS"

Re: I am Out of Here

^^Hah. Ok. Jeeps kinda do suck and almost every FCA dealer is amongst the worst of the worst but whatever.

Nice new ride. I wouldn't turn one down if I had the dough.

Good luck, smart move anyone who doubts only needs to have a problem and talk with Chrysler cares, they will sing a different tune. FCA is not exactly customer friendly post the purchase of the vehicle.
What would be great is if functional12 is still around to list a brief outline of his contacts and their information. This way if other have issues they could use the information. Mostly curious if you where involved with any local FCA representative.
