Re: I am Out of Here

I do not see a Porsche in my future. Although I like it. Honestly I be happy with starting small and having them acknowledge a problem No one can argue the JGC is a beautiful car and in a class of its own. I am a huge fan. I just got "one of those ones". I am not bashing Jeep. I am jealous I have not had the experience others have had. Well I guess I am bashing jeep. The service side is really bad let me repeat and I really hope you never have to experience this but the service side is extremely Bad. Sadly, I have to say a quick search of this site and many others will indicate I am not alone in this opinion. I am new to this situation and have had to figure things out on my own by search and questions. Like I said I am in some Enhanced Customer satisfaction group and honestly have no idea what the purpose is. I received a voice-mail telling me that they would be my "Advocate". I have not heard from them since. I have left messages and sent emails and no reply. Does anyone know what they do? My experience so far is nothing. My dealer wanted to replace on thing and the EHS group said no let's replace something else and again I sit and wait on parts. Which no one knows when they are shipping or arriving(like prior to the Internet age) Seems they might not be the best to Advocate for me and Definetly not about enhancing my satisfaction as the process is doing the opposite. I drive my wife's Honda Pilot alot and I have to tell you Definetly not a JGC. However it works first time everytime. Oh I also just received a recall notice something about the shifter. I laugh as I see no other option.

I personally have had a GREAT experience with the SRT Hotline...now I know that does not help you directly, but maybe give them a call and ask if there is an "Enhanced" Customer Service line that is available to call similar to the SRT Hotline. I have had some very annoying issues that have not been "fixed" after I have been told they were and pick up the vehicle. Then when they fix one thing, they create another issue. Over the past 6 months I have been keeping SRT in the loop and creating cases for each of my issues...which is quite tedious but keeps record of all the things in one location (in addition to the dealer).Examples: Had my fuel door replaced, then that caused an EVAP leak @/near my fuel tank/gas filler...then that caused the rear fender flare to not align with the door/bumper flares. Also have the steering wheel "squeak/whine" that was "fixed" twice but has gotten worse each time they "fixed" it. Will probably need a new steering wheel at this point.

IDK if there is another customer service line, but if SRT can direct you that may be a place to start 1-855-778-8326

Re: I am Out of Here

08hemi, thanks for the information and the SRT models are extremely nice. I wanted to head in the other direction and try to fit some 33" tires on the stock wheels and make some visual modes to the JGC. Obviously I have been stopped dead in my tracks on this but there a a few guys on this site who have done some beautiful work on there JGC and go above and beyond to help others with advice and experience based knowledge. I live in the city and although I have acess to some offroading my plan was more to get the look with function and use it to drive my boys back and forth to Hockey and other various activities. I believe a "mall crawler." although my better half handles all those trips. I try to avoid at all cost.
It looks like My problem is going to becoming to an end sooner then later. I will post the details and outcomes when it is complet

What are some of the issues you are having (will re-read this thread if you already posted)? I had an 08 5.7L and told myself that when a white, SRT with the 8-spped and 8.4" NAV was available I would get one...so had been saving up ever since (around 2010...)! Bought mine used with about 4k miles, at 21k now. No kids, daily driver and could not be happier "overall"...been a beast powertrain-wise, but fit/finish has been less than stellar

For your purposes, the 3.6L is the right choice. My good buddy bought a 14' Limited with the Penstar and loves it. I have driven it multiple times and it is a great ride. We blacked-out most of the chrome trim and put an aFe intake on. That intake really gave it a nice sound under moderate-heavey throttle...exhaust is next.

Whatever is going on best of luck, trust me I feel your pain

Re: I am Out of Here

Briefly.....
Front door alignment
Rear window separation from car
Intake manifold
Lifters
Rockers
Exhaust manifold
Radio amplifier
Media hub
8.4 screen. (continues to have trouble)
MAF sensor
AC blower
Stalling with MAX AC on(unresolved it is not always but car does noticeably shake every time)
On 4+ pages of warranty repairs at dealer. These are off top of my head

The dealer service department are good people and very accommodating. I am told due to the amount of repairs I am in the "Enhanced Customer Satisfaction"(ECS) group and all repair decisions are made by one of their techs. It tends to make the process longer by days and the experience very frustrating. I figure they have no clue and just try the cheapest fix first causing me multiple visits. I am not permitted to talk with the decision maker. Essentially I am in the dark and at the mercy of mysterious FCA professionals who have decided me unworthy of even knowing their names. I am feeling really good about this experience especially when I pay the bill. I think to myself how lucky I am that someone somewhere knows something , even if it is not me. After all the EHS people have told me they are my "advocate" I mean I feel like I cannot have been placed in better hands. Now I just need to get them to acknowledge me and respond. But I am taken it slow as I dare not challenge them for fear of being labeled a problem. I mean I did buy a Jeep. I am sure customer Satisfaction is something I am misunderstanding the meaning of .
I actually would like to work for FCA as a local rep. I am sure I am more then qualified for this position that I have been repeatedly told by both the FCA dealer and direct FCA does not exist. Kinda like being a super hero with the power of super denial. :

Re: I am Out of Here

Oh yes, the elusive regional rep. I tried to get a buyback on my 2015 WK for stalling, and the owner of the dealership told me the regional rep would give me a call. I never got a call, his name or a number of course. I told the owner Tyrone at Performance Chrysler in La Vista NE, now Baxter La Vista and he just acted surprised and then handed me off to a salesman like I was just a customer looking to buy a new Jeep.

Re: I am Out of Here

I am serious about this opportunity and my qualifications. As a kid I played a lot of HIDE & SEEK and with 4 kids and 8 nieces and nephews I continue to play. I am exceptional good at the HIDE part of this and as for SEEK, I have learned to seek out the useless response better then most. The enhanced customer Satisfaction group has been helping me sharpen my skills on this as they are experts. I am more then qualified to do this for FCA.

Re: I am Out of Here

If the OP owns a 911, he knows more than most of us knows about the expensive maintenance on German cars. He is ok with it and there is no point in reminding him that 200 times.

I had an Audi A6 and I loved it, but let me tell you $300 oil change, $495 for battery, $1600 for tires was the cheapest expenses on it. After the extended warranty even small repairs were out of control as most parts are made in Germany and only dealers stock it. I couldn't even get a replacement wiper or wiper blade from anywhere except from the dealer and pair of wiper blade was $95 (though it removed rain flawlessly for 4 years).

German cars are better built with quality parts but are over engineered as with any German products. Their quality parts are only sold by dealers and comes at a price. You put a cheaper knock-off part and it will damage other parts or will not work as meant to be.

So, OP... Good luck in whatever you decide. We all take chances when we buy a new vehicle and we all hope it doesn't turn out to be a nightmare. Sorry, that Jeep didn't worked out for you.

Re: I am Out of Here

I disagree. In mass produced anything there are going to be a certain level of issues. The purpose is to keep them low and attend to THE PROBLEMS.
I read the original OP as focused not on the product but the service provided by FCA in acknowledging and fixing the problems. It was not meant to be Porche Vs. JEEP/FCA.
I read it as he has a 911 and a Jeep. The Porsche did not run blame and hide when problems arise but rather acknowledged and corrected unlike Jeep/FCA. So yes I joke as it is what I am limited too and yes the purchase of anything is a risk. The service received should not have been. But honestly what do I know. Maybe I read it all wrong.
