My Acura dealer has a very nice waiting area with a big screen tv, wifi, good coffee and snacks and a refrigerator with water and juice. It doesn't get used much, because except for something very minor they almost always insist on you taking a loaner. In the winter they have them warmed up and waiting right outside the door. I told the service writer once that they just wanted to keep me away from the coffee. She walked me out to the loaner after finishing the paperwork. With a big smile on her face she pointed to the console and said there's your coffee. Now that is customer service!
I went in for an oil change around the holidays. They gave me a little gift kit with Acura car wash soap, glass cleaner, leather conditioner and a few other things.
They also have a Honda Dealership at the other end of the property. My neighbors who have Hondas say that they will give them a loaner, but they have to request it.
My last Jeep, '07 Liberty, was never in except for oil changes. They had a small screen tv, the coffee was kept fresh, but the paper cups were small. I always brought my large, Thermos brand cup that said Chevy Trucks across it. I told them if they gave me one that said Jeep, I would use it. They never did.
Did I pay up front for the exceptional service at Acura? Sure did! If they sold Jeeps, I'd be paying for it again.
