Go figure...maybe in time this "reset" will solve world hunger as well?

Do you notice any weirdness when you have the AC on? try slowing down and slightly push on to the brake but let the GC roll from 3 to 2 to first. Lot's of slaming going on there for me.

Gonna try another reset via the fuse for last time got locked radio, MPG was saying I was getting 90+ miles per galon which was pretty funny.

For 90 MPG, I'll let my transmission slam.

Re: I Think I Fixed My Rough Shifting 8sp Transmission

I'm gonna try this; but to the OP why in step 3 of your procedure in first post after you disconnected the negative battery cable did you pump the brakes "to dissipate residual power in the system"? What system? And the brakes are a hydraulic, not electrical, system - unless there are capicators in there somewhere, what residual power is left that pumping the brakes will dissipate?

you are correct.

I'm going to try this on my 14.. I have a clunky 2nd gear downshift.

Only 300 miles on mine so far, but what the hell.. i'll try it when I put the system in tonight.

How well does this fix do to correct the sluggish 1-2 and 2-3 up shifts? those are really my only complaint on the shifting

Will try as well ! Can't stand my GC 2014 LTD !! Transmission is awfull, clunks, and thud, and more ! I hate it so far, and service at my dealer ROYALY sucks !
Car is nice, but so many little irritants....
Will see if transmission gets better..... (only 350 miles on it )...

I have 2000 on mine and most all of the clunking smoothed out just the slugish up shift lag between 1-2 and 2-3 in stop and go trafic. Will try the reset when back in town. Rented an Escalade for the week that thing jumps off the line compared to the hemi. Has more horsepower but also bigger vehicle. Hopefully the reset will help some.

Re: I Think I Fixed My Rough Shifting 8sp Transmission

I'm glad im not the only one that hates this trans.. i have only driven manuals for 25 years and thought maybe it was just that im not used to a auto..

What i find worse is that in econo mode its in 8th gear by 40mph.. which means i now i have to stand on the gas so it can downshift to 4th or 5th to get upto 50..

And while im on the subject of econo mode.. why the hell didnt they make it standard mode upto like 30-40mph.. when i take off froma light in econo/standard or sport i watch the MPG drop to 2-3 mpg anyway..

And yeah yeah.. turn econo off.. got it

It fixed my 1-2-3 gear upshifts 100%. After the battery reset my upshifts are normal meaning that it holds the gears longer and allows the RPMs to rise up sever grand before shifting which means I don't have an issue with almost getting rear ended anymore.

Do the battery reset and see if your ECO mode improves like mine did.
