You said none of the dealers including where you bought.

Now you make it sound like you only went to one dealer.

Did you actually get turned down by other dealers, or was that just foe effect?

In any case, I hope Jeep gets it taken care of.

Thanks for the advice, and you may be right because when I mentioned the TSBs to the other dealership, they basically told me to take it back to the dealership I bought the vehicle from. Not very helpful...and I will never go back to that dealership either. It shouldn't be this difficult to get TSBs performed on a vehicle...at least I've never had this much trouble with any other car manufacturer.

Hopefully my talk with a regional manager on Monday will go well...I either want ALL TSBs for my vehicle taken care of, or I want a company buy back. If things go south, I will go the Lemon Law route.

Yeah it can definitely be a frustrating line to walk. Mine was in for the bad XM reception problem fix recently and this time I just told them about the problem without mentioning the TSB for it as I could tell I have agitated them with TSB talk in the past. So 2 days pass that they have the jeep and they call and say your radio has no errors in it and is functioning fine and we want to keep it another day so we can reload the radio software but we have no usb sick but will buy one tomorrow. I stated I don't think it is a radio problem and emailed them the TSB and said this TSB describes the exact problem I am having with XM reception the problem sounds like an antenna problem. Light bulbs go off and they say they will order parts, wrong parts were ordered and are then reordered. 5 days (glad for the maxcare rental) later jeep is back XM reception fixed. Service coordinator was caring and helpful but at the mercy of not so swift service techs.

So I guess initially helping them in the direction of the TSB without directing them to do the TSB is the right formula. lol

Yep, what he said ^. If your vehicle doesn't have the problem, why do you think Chrysler would authorize to pay the dealership money for a repair that was not needed. They are not in the preventative maintenance business

As stated, go in listing complaints that sound identical to what the TSB's are for, any tech who knows how to make money will see all the applicable TSB's pound them all out, make a couple bucks, and park the car...

Re: I'm bummed. Finally turned Autocomfort Off

I am planning a trip soon - already told them a list of stuff to fix

Trans Shifting like crap - 21-007-13 REV. C << what is the latest??
HVAC (mine turns off too) - 24-002-13
Safety Recall (N58 / NHTSA 13V-483)
MiL light comes on when low on gas (I think the filler neck is bad)
The Flashlight in the back is dead - never worked
Drivers seat lumbar squeaks as you move - loudly
The gate doesnt always go down when you hit the button inside to the left
the A/C REEKS for 2 seconds on start - but they wont find that right now lol

Whats this one though??

on the original post... yeah I hate the seat/wheel heat's "stupidity" - the 2011 would only turn on for remote start. Thats how this should work. Its too hot if the truck is already warm. Coupled with the fact that the hvac system has a mind of its own... 1/2 the time i am opening the windows to cool down.

If it has been open a while, that is normal per the owner's manual.

Spray some Lysol into the inside air intake with the system on recycle.

Mine works, but the free ones from Harbor Freight work better.

Re: I'm bummed. Finally turned Autocomfort Off

Every so often Harbor Freight gives away various LED flashlights... no purchase necessary ... batteries included. I Google "harbor freight free stuff" every few months.

As for the smell, I had that situation in an Explorer. I was skeptical when the service manager came out with a can of Lysol. He said it is typically from mold and Lysol would kill it. It worked.

I would suggest you give it a try before letting somebody start pulling the hvac apart.

Ditto. With cars I try to find the simplest solution to problems. Or you can create a Lemon out of perfectly fine vehicle.

Like a squeak. I give a squeak a LONG time before I bring it to a dealer. Sometimes they go as fast as they come never to be heard again. Why risk creating another problem when it might fix itself.

Like I want my bowed Lift Gate handle fixed. But it's cosmetically pretty minor. But I did check it leaks. Dealer wants to try and "Adjust it". I prefer if they do anything, they do it ONCE, so just replace it. Otherwise I think I just might squirt some Silicon in their to stop water getting in. Or perhaps it's not supposed to be water tight in first place and if that's the case I don't care.

I fixed my Dash squeak myself, it was a sticker rubbing on the back of the glove box.

Make sure it's not operator error.

But I can certainly see why folks want the supplied flash light work. Mainly because it has a nice little built in charger and you should be able to always find it No risk in getting a new flashlight. So why not get it replaced?
