Interesting interference issue leading to dead battery

RF Interference Like You’ve Never Seen Before

The Camera That Killed the Jeep – Part 2

Essentially, interference from a nearby, but completely unrelated ZyXEL IPC4605N WiFi camera causes the WK2's alarm receiver to drain the battery.

Re: Interesting interference issue leading to dead battery

Alarm receiver?

I'll bet it's one of the sensors that detect your hand on the door handle that starts to wake things up.

I wonder if the key FOB was in range too?

Thanks for the article!

Re: Interesting interference issue leading to dead battery

The article refers to the "Jeep" as a "Cherokee" not as a "Grand Cherokee". Do they both share the same frequency FOBs? Is this a "Grand Cherokee" problem as well as a "Cherokee" problem, or did the author simply leave out the "Grand" when he wrote?
