IOD fuse and NAV update issues

So, tried doing the map update and the end result was it saying PND failed or some shit like that.

Anyway, I called Garmin and they sent me some instructions, but one of them is to pull the IOD fuse. I did some searching and couldn't find any info on the new jeep having one, so any other ideas? P.S I already pulled and disconnected the NAV and pulled the radio fuse to see if it would "reset"..

Any other ideas

Re: IOD fuse and NAV update issues

Is this the $150 update or are you pirating? I'm on the verge of doing it too..

What software are you running, 33 or 50?

Straight up legit (bought it from Garmin's subsidiary, a company called "HERE") and I have the newest software.

Update:

Spoke to a rep from "HERE" and they are going to send me out a new disk, so hopefully that fixes the problem. Otherwise off to the dealer for them to work on it.

Re: IOD fuse and NAV update issues

May want to consider downgrading to 33. Seems like all the guys using map files recommend it.

Re: IOD fuse and NAV update issues

Also, "PND did not update" is not an error with the maps.
It has to do with the radio

I spoke with garmin and they said that there is a good chance that the disk was efed up and they are sending me a new one.. If that doesn't work, jeep will get it to update or get me a new nav since everything is under warranty

Re: IOD fuse and NAV update issues

That's the reason you cannot update. 33 and 43 are the highest that allow updates. 43 is unavailable anywhere I have found. I keep a 33 & 50 update disc for updates. The downgrade and return to 50 are easy but time consuming. Good luck with your dealer, just know the downgrade and upgrades are out there.

No shit. So barring it working with the new disk, I need to downgrade to 33, then install the update, then back to 50?
