Re: Is there anybody with V6 4x4 in NYC or similar traffic pattern?

If I drive like I normally do, 12-13.

And if I drive like a grandma, 17 is achievable.

Just what did they mean when they said 16MPG? What kind of city? It would be less frustrating if highway mileage was less than advertised, but it isn't. I almost think something is wrong with my car.
I am having the same issue, not getting close to the rated mpg for city driving. I live just outside Philly in the burbs and average 13-14 mpg on my V6, no matter how easy I take it. Just took an extended trip of 140 miles and got between 23-25 mpg I drive as easy as possible, any slower I could walk. I only have 2500 miles on this thing. Maybe there just needs to be more break in time.

My buddy with the V6 gets between 13 and 14 in Chicago city driving. I imagine it's in the same spectrum as NYC.

Re: Is there anybody with V6 4x4 in NYC or similar traffic pattern?

Not a major city, but most drives are less than 5 mile trips, all urban in a city of 250K people. All with lots of stop signs/stop lights. Although no stop-n-go traffic.

Got 14-15 this last winter with major remote starting (basically car would idle for as long or longer than the actual drive time from point A to B).
Getting 18 currently. This with no street over 35 mph speed limit and zero miles on a hwy.

So I'm beating the rating! Less than 2,000 miles on odometer. I would think you have to have lot's of idling to drop below the 15 mpg I saw last winter or would have to be really heavy on the gas (remember the winter mileage had Snow on the roads, high idle rates while warming up and 4X4 put in Snow mode).

Re: Is there anybody with V6 4x4 in NYC or similar traffic pattern?

A bit of an update: I reset EVIC before going home (Brooklyn) from work (Jersey City). Trip was 11 miles, during rush hour in the evening but the only slow traffic was when getting in Holland tunnel. Took about an hour, maybe a bit less. Avg fuel economy was 14.1 MPG for one way trip which is not bad.

I guess what kills my long term average (12 MPG) is that I have a lot of short trips (30 minutes or less) all of which is street driving. By the time engine warms up I am often already at the destination.

FWIW 100% higway is 23-24.5 MPG - as advertised.

Getting 19+mph in NJ, very happy with this millage. Also it got better after around 7k miles, currently 10K. In compare getting only 17mph on mine g37 coupe.
