Is this normal?

On my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee if I'm idling and press the brake pedal a few times the brake pedal becomes still as if the engine was off but once I start moving its ok again. Is this some kind of feature? Thanks

Re: Is this normal?

Maybe it's related to the hill-start assist? Does it happen more when the truck is on a incline or does it happen regardless?

Normal.
If the Jeep has Hill Start Assist that is whats causing it.
The pedal get hard holding the brakes until you step on the throttle pedal.
