Is this normal from factory

2014 Overland V6. I have only 500 miles on it. The passengers side exhaust pipe out from the converter is crimped. drivers side is perfect. Dealers said it does not leak and will be ok. Does anyone else have this crimped pipe ?
Sorry Pictures are upside down my first post. Thanks.

Doubt it makes any kind of difference, but on a new car I still wouldn't want a damaged part.

Re: Is this normal from factory

Thanks for the responses. I went back up to the dealer today and service manager said that is a factory bend on all of them. I would appreciate if any other member could check theirs and see if they have the same bend. Planning on going back to dealer on sunday and look at the other overlands on their lot. Thanks.

Why didn't you ask the service manager to show you? That way nobody would have to crawl under their Jeeps.

Sorry I asked but was just looking for a little help. It was not getting to be a nice exchange with the service manager and I did not want to escalate it any more at this time so I left the dealer. I just wanted to be able to go back with some evidence form other owners theirs were not bent. You also do not have to crawl totaly under your jeep to see it. Sorry I did not want to cause any problems .

Thats a bend put in for most likely tool clearance at the assembly plant. If it was damaged it would not look uniform like that.

Re: Is this normal from factory

No problems caused. If you do a search on this forum for exhaust crimp you will find several previous posts/threads with pictures involving the MY14s when they first came out particularly the SRTs. You can read about how it was getting noticed by other owners why it's supposedly there and how some chose to address the crimp.

Understood. I keep forgetting that not all service managers go out of their way to be helpful. I've been lucky in that regard.
