Is this the correct oil filter?

I went to my garage to change the oil. I have several vehicles. Found Mobil 1 filter M1-210. Is that the correct filter for the 2011 JGC for Hemi?

Thanks!

Do you like that oil filter? I'm so used to using a Fram ToughGaurd, but I'm curious about the mobil 1 oil filter

Re: Is this the correct oil filter?

Mobil 1 oil filters use a 100% synthetic media whereas Fram uses plain paper based media. Also Mobil 1 uses metal end caps whereas Fram uses cardboard end caps.

What I am trying to say here is that M1 filters are miles ahead of Fram with regards to quality and filtering capabilities. To be honest I wouldn't touch a Fram oil filter with a 10 foot pole.

Re: Is this the correct oil filter?

Interestingly, the Mobil 1 website doesn't recommend any Mobil filter for the WK2 V6. Instead, it recommends (go figure):
Current Vehicle: Year: 2012 Make: Jeep Model: Grand Cherokee Engine Type: 6cyl. 3.6Liter Pentastar Naturally Aspirated

Filter matches for the vehicle you selected: Champion Model P990
Fram Model CH10955

Maybe I'll give one a try, I'll be honest I know people hate fram but I've always used them never had an issue but just figured I'd ask peoples preference, I might try the mobile 1 seems like alot of people like them.

A few aftermarket oil filters have appeared for the V6 Pentastar but I'm sticking with Mopar for the foreseeable future.

I don't trust an aftermarket oil filter on a brand new engine. There has already been a TSB released for issues with aftermarket oil filters on the Pentastar.

The 5.7 engine has been around a long time so an aftermarket oil filter is not an issue.

Great points, Fury. I've been using the Mopar filter w/Mobil 1-EP so far, but would trust Mobil if they had an alternative. Alas, they don't, which seems weird. The Pentastar is getting to be a downright common engine throughout the Chrysler product line.
