Re: Is you air suspension reliable?

Hi,
40600 miles as of today, Limited, 2014, I've been to 4x4 trips so I can say I used quite a lot, also have it un automode so it lowers everytime I park, never had a single issue, working as good as first day.

Re: Is you air suspension reliable?

Why not: I will play...

2011, got 117k on it now.

I had a compressor go at ~90k. Before the compressor went, I used the park mode a lot, but since the new ~$1500 compressor, I do not any longer. I do use the sport mode usually while driving (shift points are better, I suppose, and I like the 2wd-ish feel with mine). Other than using the sport mode, I do not really raise or lower the suspension; and I will keep an eye on the nitrogen level (150psi pressure check occasionally) to ensure that the system is not going to crap out on me again.

So: is it reliable? ... I am going to hope that it will continue to work as-needed...

How does one check the pressure?

Re: Is you air suspension reliable?

I have not checked the pressure of the tank on my own (yet) --- but it is filled to 150psi with nitrogen, and uses a different filling device than a tire valve.

For this, I suggest (due to the very high pressure) that there is a call placed to confirm that a dealership is willing to send a mechanic out to do this (1-2 minute test) or find a tire shop or indy mechanic that would be able to test the pressure of the system.

Re: Is you air suspension reliable?

'14 Overland, 46Kmi.
No issues.
Not even just below -25 but didn't park it at that temperature for long.

Used park all the time, leave in ECO mode so it tends to do pushups on higher speed secondary roads with stoplights.

Used OR-1 on the average of once a week where that tends to be for a couple hours minimum each time.

Use OR-2 about once every couple months, as it is rarely needed.

A dealer can check the pressure and charge if you ask nicely.
