Issue ordering interior Timber trim

Trying to order a new drivers timber door trim for the MY14 Limited (AUS).
When the Dealership orders the part using my VIN I end up with the timber look part from the Overland. Different grain.
They have advised I would not be able to get my Limited timber grain look as the part number that is identified for my VIN is what they got in(Overland Timber grain look)..

So how does one identify the part numbers of the different timber styles?

The part should still fit right?

Yes, the Overland is a completely different wood trim. It's sealed and shiny where I believe yours is more of an open pore (not shiny) trim. LOL... that's total BS that this is the only trim they can find in their system for your VIN as it's obviously wrong. Do they have any vehicles at the dealership with your type of wood trim that they could run the VIN from?

Does this look like your Limited interior?

Here in the US it's called New Zealand Black/Light Frost Beige. The wood trim is called Nador Brown Wanut.

If your dealer can run a US VIN, have them try this one and see what it spits out on their computer... 1C4RJFBG1EC580124. That's for the vehicle pictured.

Agree, and it is the same form, fit and function. When I picked up the car it looked ridiculous against the other timber trim.
So I said don't dispose of my damaged one (warranty).
They said they would refit the old part next visit.

Thanks for the US VIN, that was my next step.
I did ask them to run a check on both an Overland and Limited they had in their lot. Advised that they could do nothing as that is what my VIN ordered in..
I'll ask then to try this VIN on Monday. It's also a 3.6L like mine (not that the engine config makes a difference)... Thanks for finding it.
One thought sitting here, If they run a US VIN they need to be sure to order the RH front door trim, not a drivers side door for that VIN.. I don't know how the part description is worded.

Re: Issue ordering interior Timber trim

LOL... yes, we're ass-backwards between the US and OZ. One would think that they should be able to at least establish a part number from the VIN of a Limited they have on their lot. What difference does it make whether it's your vehicle VIN or that of another? The part is still the same.

If they can order it as if it's for a US model then they'd want to order the trim for the front passenger door.

Good luck!
