I've got a screw loose...

Literally

I found this screw tumbling around in the driver-side under-seat compartment. It's been a minor annoyance for a week or so. I finally popped open the compartment lid, reached under the plastic flange securing the harness/connector/module assy and grabbed this:

Any ideas from where this might have backed-out of? Any concerns??

PS: My hand very nearly got STUCK reaching under the flange. Tight sharp edges in there...

Haha,

When I read the title of your thread, I thought you were one of the few on the forums who's willing to admit that you're a little "wacky".

Not sure where that bolt came from...would ask the dealer.

Re: I've got a screw loose...

That just looks like a screw typically used for mounting things like seat rails, or seatbelt, etc. Maybe just one that an employee at the factory dropped?

Re: I've got a screw loose...

There is only the slightest of tool marks on the head and washer, but the threads appear to be virgin.

So, maybe YES to a production line dropped item. As I noted it is a nasty tight spot to reach, so maybe unreachable when dropped. It took from June until November to work itself free to be able to tumble around in the compartment.

My passenger side door was missing a nut on the bottom hanger.
