There are TSB's for 2014-15 models as well.

[QUOTE=67HR;1304448]Thanks mate for posting, I was getting this minor bump as I was coming to a stand still hadn't quite put my finger on it but was putting it down to brakes.
The description in the TSB "nails it to a T"

I'm going to monitor it for the next week as it's due for a 30klm service.[/QUOTE

You show a 2014. This tsb is for 2016 models. Mine is a 2015. I have both the 2-3 harsh shift when cold, as well as sometimes the harsh 2-1 shift. I hope that they will come out with a new tsb for our model years too.

Not a recent one.

Why are you looking for a new TSB to address the harsh shifting when they've been out there since the 2014 model year? This covers adaptive relearn, new valve body and even transmission replacement. They cover the 2015's as well.

I had the harsh shifting you describe on my 2014. In my case I was lucky, the adaptive relearn took care of it.

I had the redesigned valve body, software tsb's, and relearn. Worked fine for several months. Now it's back. Had another relearn last week. Still a problem. Others have had the tranny replaced and still have the same problem. While many don't have the issue, some of us do.

Re: Jeep recalling 1.1 million shifters

Just had this fix done. If you move into any transmission position with your seatbelt off and the door open, as soon as you take your foot off the brake the transmission jumps into Park. This means you cannot run your Jeep through a car wash where you get out of the vehicle and it gets pulled thorough the wash by the car wash mechanism, as the transmission will jump back to Park when you get out - foot off the brake, belt off and door open. I called FCA for assistance on this - got none, but figured it out myself - you have to fasten the seatbelt if you want the vehicle to be able to roll in Neutral with no one sitting inside it.

Re: Jeep recalling 1.1 million shifters

Today my 2014 ecodiesel has started to "bump" on downshifts from 2nd to 1st. Very noticeable. Thought i got taped from behind lightly. Will need to take to service center when i have the time.

Re: Jeep recalling 1.1 million shifters

I haven't had the recall done yet, but I'm sure the tranny learn cycle will have to start at square one again after it's done. So, be prepared to have a bumpy ride for a while.

Re: Jeep recalling 1.1 million shifters

At the car wash, the manager was well aware of this issue
and said they had figured out you just need to fasten the seatbelt to keep the vehicle in neutral when you get out. He said quite a few brands with electronic shifters have this feature - Audi, BMW and Tesla - but he said that some allow you to leave the transmission in neutral without the belt fastened if you keep the brake pedal depressed for 10 seconds before you release it.
