As part of the Recall Campaign, dealers will be required to attach a permanent warning sticker, located just above the radio (Mopar p/n 65042102AB):

I'm so pleased the red matches our DCR and the yellow is particularly striking.

LOL... why not? They already have the airbag stickers on the sun visors.

That's a good one Milous.

Perhaps not, actually didn't suffer in the least. We had a 2013 Yukon Denali! Now I'm beginning to wonder if my suffering has just started? Such "idiotic" posts from people who know everything? lol.

I wish that people would learn to read before responding. I never said "Thank GOD I waited!" I don't waste God's time on such trivial things.

Re: Jeep recalling 1.1 million shifters

I hope he's kidding. There is no way that sticker will be applied to my vehicle as long as I own it. I can just hear comments from anyone riding with me. Such as: "What does FCA think that the owners of their vehicles are morons?"

In order to pass our drivers test we had to execute fast K turns on busy two lane roads, stop with our front wheels exactly on the painted stop line, and parallel park. In all these maneuvers we were taught NEVER TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD AND SURROUNDINGS. So we developed a skill in using our sense of feel to manage the car while our eyes paid attention to the exterior. Worked with 3 on the tree, 4 speed and non push button automatics. Push buttons disappeared after a few years on the market. For years we drove, parked and did everything without having to take our eyes off the exterior. It is actually a intuitive skill that allows for much safer driving. I guarantee you that any of us can get a vehicle out of a dangerous situation faster than those of you who have to look inside the vehicle, think and then act.

Couldn't have said it better, myself!!

Not to worry. If this is a typical Jeep recall you'll get the postcard and a year later the dealer still won't have the software ...... or that beautiful sticker!

Re: Jeep recalling 1.1 million shifters

Not the outcome that I was hoping for - the shifter is tricky from D to R - what should be an easy operation to adjust, takes that much more input and effort - really my only gripe about the jeep.

Since the '16 shifter isn't mechanical, need to figure out how to do a retrofit.
