Re: Jeep tore apart at dealer due to pano roof

They probably had to replace the seats after causing cigarette burn holes all over it, then trying to cover the burn marks by rubbing their shoes over the burnt holes and stomping out the fire...when that didn't work tried cutting out the bad parts out with a linoleum knife.

Re: Jeep tore apart at dealer due to pano roof

Seriously, I can see them needing as much room as they can get when working on the entire pano roof. They have to remove the entire headliner and need to pull the seats to have room to move and manuever in the cabin. If they have to re-seal the entire assembly, they will be moving all around the cabin installing the new parts so it is very logical to do all that.

Hope you get it back together and it all works out.

I got my jeep back this past friday and no more rattles! Ive been driving it for a week now and no noise whatsoever. They had to replace all of the hardware for the sunroof and a new headliner with reinforced clips, the service guy told me that this is a known issue and that all jeeps with the pano roof with have this problem eventually and Chrysler knows this. Im trying to make sure everything is kosher before my warranty runs out, because i cant imagine having to pay to fix something like this out of pocket.

If all pano roofs are going to develop this problem eventually it would be nice if Jeep made the single pane option available on all trim levels.
